HOW SOLAR WORKS

1. Sunlight is turned into direct current (DC) electricity at the solar panel.

Optimizers are attached to each panel to make them their own power producer. No one panel effects the other maximizing your solar systems energy production.

3. The DC electricity is converterted to alternating current (AC) which is what everything in your home uses.

5.  In the event, your solar system produces more electricity than your home needs. Your meter will spin backward and your utility company will use it to power your neighbors home. If your meter spins backward more than it did forward in a given month. You could run a negative utility bill depending on your utilities net metering policy. If your system is not supplying your home enough power or if it is dark outside. You will buy power from your utility just like normal. This is an example of a grid tied system.

4. The power is sent to your main electric panel to be used by your home, reducing the amount used by the utility.
